Climate Action Week 2023
Timed with the Scottish Government’s Climate Week, this year's Climate Action Week will focus on examples of the people and actions that are helping us move towards becoming a net zero nation with restored biodiversity by 2045.
We are grateful to our special guests from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS), and Children's Author and Illustrator Mini Grey courtesy of the Scottish Book Trust.
Activity for the week:
In 2023 we invited pupils from all years to work in groups or as a class, and to imagine and design how their nursery, school or community will look in 2045, when we become a net zero nation with restored and enhanced biodiversity and ecosystems.
All posters and work submitted during the week were displayed as part of the assembly and shared as young people’s vision of the future with our First Minister.

Reaching net zero emissions by 2024 sounds a long way away, but needs us all to start working now. Thanks to Forth Valley College, Lesson Four is an opportunity to learn about inspiring and exciting examples of what is happening already, and to use our own creativity to move towards a sustainable future.
