ISO14001 accreditation secured again

We’re thrilled that once again, following an independent audit, we have retained our important ISO14001 certification for 2026/2027.

ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems which provides a framework for organisations to manage their environmental responsibilities in a systematic way that contributes to sustainability.

Katie Murray, our Development Manager commented, “We were first accredited in 2016, and since then #TeamKSB has worked tirelessly to ensure we retain ISO14001 certification. This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to reducing waste, improving resource efficiency, and actively contributing to a more sustainable future. It’s not just about meeting standards - it's about making a difference through responsible business practices.  The ISO14001 certification complements the work of our Net Zero group as we move forward with reducing our carbon emissions.”

Over the last year, we’ve set ourselves annual milestones and indicators to help keep us on track, and we’re looking forward to sharing our progress to Net Zero, and our learning, soon.

Both ISO 14001 and our Net Zero Plan prioritise continuous improvement. While ISO 14001 ensures we’re consistently meeting high environmental standards, our Net Zero Plan outlines specific actions and targets for reducing our carbon footprint.  The ISO 14001 framework encourages regular monitoring and measurement of environmental performance. This data informs our Net Zero Transition Plan, helping us identify key areas for improvement and track our progress toward achieving net zero emissions. And while ISO 14001 sets up the processes for efficient environmental management, our Net Zero Transition Plan focuses on a specific outcome: achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2045.

Together, they provide both the operational framework and the targeted goals to guide our environmental journey.
