Challenge for the week: Collective Litter Pick
This year we invite schools and nurseries from across the country to work together to spring clean our beautiful Scotland. Organise as many litter picks as you can in March, and submit how much litter you collect to contribute to citizen science and enter our prize draw.
Only by working together can we have the biggest impact!
Full details of the competition and prizes will be released here ahead of the Live Lesson dates.
Early Years - P3
Join our story time lesson to learn more about the impact of litter and waste on our environment. Following the lesson, take part in our litter picking challenge (see above) and use our follow on resources to take learning further.
Full resources will be released here closer to the lesson date.

P4 - S2
In this year's Live Lesson we look at the issue of textile waste in Scotland and around the world. We explore some of the reasons that so much textile waste is produced and look at some of the solutions, including how we can value our clothes more and take better care of them.
Following the lesson, take part in our litter picking challenge (see above). Then work through a series of activities designed by the Futures Institute at Dollar Academy to understand more about the environmental impacts of the clothing industry and organise your own clothing reuse event to deal with the problem, with opportunities to learn skills in enterprise, mending and upcycling.
Full resources will be released here closer to the lesson date.

Pre-recorded lesson for high schools
Our pre-recorded lesson for high schools is ideal for schools who can't attend our Live Lessons due to timetabling restrictions, with concepts aimed at older pupils.
During this pre-recorded lesson we look at some of the tricks used by the fashion industry to encourage overconsumption of clothing and what we can do about it.
The link to the pre-recorded lesson will be released here on 16 March.
Assembly
Assembly revisiting what we learned this week, a quiz on litter and waste and we reveal the winners of our Collective Litter Picking Challenge!
