Training to support pupils leading Eco-Schools in their schools.

Eco-Schools Training for Pupils: Turning Thoughts Into Actions
Wednesdays 9 - 30 September 2026 (and 28 April 2027) 1.30-2.00pm
Our Eco-Schools training for pupils will use interactive examples to take your pupils through the Eco-Schools Seven Elements and support them to become leaders of the Eco-Schools programme.
All sessions take place at 1.30-2.00pm
Wednesday 9 September: Session 1: Eco-Committee and Environmental Review
Wednesday 16 September: Session 2: Action Plan and Measuring
Wednesday 23 September: Session 3: Using your voice and involving your Community
Wednesday 30 September Or Wednesday 28 April 2027: Session 4: Applying for your Green Flag Award
We allow cameras on during our pupil training sessions, which means that they cannot be recorded. If you are unable to attend one of the sessions, please view our YouTube playlist for videos on the relevant topic, or you can schedule a 1:1 meeting for your Eco-Committee with one of our education officers.
Session 1: Eco-Committee and Environmental Review - We will discuss the benefits of being part of an Eco-Committee, including the skills that will be learned. We will then walk through the Environmental Review process.
Session 2: Action Plan and Measuring - Using a worked example, we will demonstrate how to create an Action Plan based on clear aims and how to Measure if those aims have been achieved.
Session 3: Using your voice and involving your Community - We will look at how our voices can be used to make change happen and how we can involve our Community in our Eco-Schools actions.
Session 4: Applying for your Green Flag Award - Did you know that pupils can put together their Eco-Schools evidence themselves? In this session, we will give them hints and tips to make the process of applying for their Green Flag as easy as possible.
