#SpringCleanScotland 2026 is running between 13 March and 24 April 2026.
Spring Clean Scotland is our annual campaign which brings together people from across Scotland to tackle litter. During this month-long campaign, thousands of volunteers spend time outdoors cleaning up the environment through sociable, fun, litter picking sessions.
There's two ways to get involved:
- Find a litter pick near you to support by checking our Clean Up Scotland Map.
- Create your own #SpringCleanScotland litter pick and register it.

Each year we release bespoke posters and social cards with dates of our #SpringCleanScotland campaign to promote local activities, check out our Handy Resources page for these. We have also included an editable poster for you to share all the details of events with your community.
Our annual Spring Clean Scotland campaign is running from 13 March to 24 April 2026 and we're looking for tens of thousands of volunteers to take part, from businesses, community groups, schools and anyone else who wants to help us keep Scotland beautiful.
We would love for you to be one of them.

Prizes up for grabs!
- Sports Prize - All sports clubs, organisations or those litter picking as a group of sports fans.
- Uniformed Groups Prize - All uniformed groups
- #SpringCleanScotland Prize - Anyone who take part in our campaign!
Groups or individuals who register a litter pick on our website will be entered into a competition to win a £100 voucher for litter picking equipment!
All competitions listed here are running until 24th April 2026 and the registered litter pick needs to be held between 13th March and 24th April 2026.

Look out for the #SpringCleanScotland 2026 bus out and about!
The team at Scottish Citylink will be getting involved with litter picks during #SpringCleanScotland and throughout 2026. They will be supporting by highlighting and raising awareness of the campaign messaging across their platforms.
Last years #SpringCleanScotland Campaign took place between 21 March and 21 April 2025 and saw over 34,000 volunteers take part across all 32 local authorities.
Volunteers gathered over 50,000 bags of litter, weighing in at around 331 tonnes of litter and 91% felt that we all have a part to play with litter in Scotland.
82% said that after taking part in #SpringCleanScotland they felt more connected to their community.
