An academic year calendar celebrating Youth Voice

Thanks to generous sponsorship of the YRE programme from HP, we are pleased to introduce our first ever Young Reporters for the Environment calendar, celebrating the diverse beauty of Scotland, from towns and villages to hills and fields, school gardens, allotments and parks.

Each month features one of the winning entries from the 2025 YRE Single Photo category where we asked young people to take a photograph of a place they thought was beautiful: a local park, a beach, a place in their town, a corner of their school grounds, or even their own garden - and to tell us why it’s important to keep Scotland beautiful.

The winning entries feature a diverse picture of Scotland's beauty: wildlife, woodlands, sunsets, urban scenery, and hills. What each view has in common is that it has inspired a young person to speak out for the environment and the places they love.

Calendars can be ordered here for £7 each.  Proceeds from calendar sales will support the 2026 YRE competition and help to provide opportunities for young environmental journalists.
