Photography

A One Take Photo is a single photograph that tells a story about an environmental issue, a situation, or event, at one point in time.  Your photograph should be candid, as in not posed or edited.  This could be a photograph of your favourite place in Scotland, wildlife, or a project you've participated in.  You do not have to appear in your photograph.

Thanks to sponsorship from HP, winning entries in the 2025 One Take Photo Category have been published in our first ever YRE Calendar, celebrating the diverse beauty of Scotland, from towns and villages to hills and fields, school gardens, allotments and parks.

Each winning photographer received a cash prize of £25 along with a copy of the calendar.

We are grateful to HP for their support of the YRE programme and their encouragement of young voices.
