Podcast

Podcasts are like mini documentaries and could take the form of audio or audio/ video. They are based on news, events, or history, and use elements of direct observation, research, interviews, and documentation.

Learning to podcast strengthens media and communication skills and allows young people to connect with people affected by environmental issues in their community as well as with people who have in-depth environmental knowledge.

Podcasts can either be audio-only podcast or video. There are four different formats your podcast might take:

Solo Podcast

In a Solo Podcast a single host delivers the content, which offers a flexible format for time management but requires strong storytelling skills to keep the audience engaged.

Multi-Host Podcast

A Multi-Host Podcast is a discussion between two or more students or experts to offer contrasting viewpoints or create a conversation about an issue.

Interview Podcast

An Interview Podcast features interviews with experts, activists, or community members affected by environmental issues or participating in a featured project.

Narrative Podcast

A Narrative Podcast is a documentary storytelling style podcast with a non-fictional or fictional environmental theme told by a narrator.
