Sharing heritage stories

In this unit learners will learn how to research heritage themes using a wide range of resources. They will gather and sort this information and learn how to share this in an appropriate format for their intended audience, such as interpretation panels, leaflets or blog posts. They will learn how to ensure that the format is accessible and the importance of seeking feedback from their audience.

Sharing heritage stories is one of the units candidates can complete to achieve a new Certificate in Cultural Heritage, credit rated by Qualifications Scotland, as part of the Our Heritage, Our Future programme.  The aim of the qualification is to support people to understand the importance of our built, natural and cultural heritage in Scotland, develop specific heritage-related skills and celebrate success of all candidates.
