Set up in 1999 by the local community, Carluke Development Trust is a non-profit charitable organisation carrying out projects to develop the community, space and environment of the Parish of Carluke.

They work with communities to grow a sustainable and thriving economy, with budding environments and open community spaces. Over the past 20 years, Carluke, and the Development Trust, have grown in size and strength. They now have a growing team of staff, board of directors and many teams of volunteers working on multiple community projects and community-led initiatives.

They continue to work with other community groups, businesses and individuals to develop the local area and improve the social, environmental and economic position of Carluke.
