#ScotClimateWeek 20205 recap

#ScotClimateWeek is always a busy one. 2025 has been no different - we've published blogs, attended events, delivered training.
We've hosted an online celebration live school assembly in Gaelic and English at the same time, and we have recorded media interviews, issued media releases, answered media enquiries, and posted and engaged with lots of social content – including from Net Zero Scot.
Our CEO Barry Fisher commented, “Scotland’s Climate Week gives us all an annual focus to highlight the positive action being taken across the country to combat climate change. It is great to have a focus, and step up action for our planet, but every day and every week environmental action must continue to be our focus.
"Whilst we may hear that our environment is being deprioritised, it is so inspiring to see just how much is happening across so many sectors of Scottish society. We are enthused to continue with our ambition to see Scotland positively embrace the change needed to become a more sustainable and nature friendly country.”
Here are just some of the things #TeamKSB has been up to:
- Presented at or delivered training at three events including Act Green: Borders Schools for Change Youth Conference, the South Lanarkshire Youth Forum and Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce.
- Three events attended including Glasgow Business Awards, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce Climate Café and an NHS Net Zero Conference.
- Scotland’s Climate Action Week competition winners, from six local authority areas, announced.
- Five employees interviewed for a series to be broadcast in late October on our work for Scotland’s only Asian radio station - Awaz Radio.
- Contributed to a Scottish Government Net Zero Scotland advert pushed out across the Bauer Radio network on Climate Action Schools.
- Were on-site at New College Lanarkshire speaking to students about Reverse Vending Machines and their experiences using them.
- Three news stories published which you can read on our News pages.
- Four blogs published which you can read on our Blog pages.
