More Eco-Schools celebration visits across Scotland

Our 30th anniversary celebrations of the international Eco-Schools and Young Reporters for the Environment programmes continued with more visits to schools throughout March.
It was a busy month for our Education team with visits to six schools in Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, Stirling and more.
Nicola Davidson, our Education and Learning Officer, visited St Andrew's RC Primary School in Midlothian to present them with a commendation for Learning for Sustainability.
Josh Cannell, our Senior Education and Learning Officer, visited Hutcheson's Grammar School in Glasgow to present them with a certificate for Pupil Voice, and also visited St Aidan's Primary School in North Lanarkshire to celebrate their 10th Green Flag.
Catriona Rae, our Senior Education and Learning Officer, visited Inverary Primary School in Argyll and Bute to celebrate their 10th Green Flag.
Our final visits of the month were completed by our Education and Learning Coordinator Libby McPhee, who visited Greengairs Primary School in North Lanarkshire to celebrate their 10th Green Flag before visiting East Plean Primary School in Stirling to present them with a commendation for community work.

“It’s great that we were able to visit these schools to present a certificate of achievement and to hear from the children, young people and educators about their inspiring action and commitment to improving our environment.
“For the past 30 years we have loved hearing about the remarkable achievements of our young people and the development of learning for sustainability across the world, and we look forward to continuing to provide support through our Climate Action Schools framework.”
Eco-Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world operated internationally by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and delivered by Keep Scotland Beautiful. It was launched in the UK four nations, Denmark and Germany in 1994 with Scotland.
