Inverurie Environmental Improvement Group

Inverurie Environmental Improvement Group (IEI) is a horticultural charity providing floral displays throughout Inverurie Town Centre and promotes the natural environment through the development of environmental programmes. IEI supports community groups and social enterprises in their work with service users who have disabilities. Training and support enables people to improve their practical skills and contribute to local community projects. This includes the creation of a sensory garden within the Community Allotments to provide recreational space for service users with special needs to enjoy. IEI organises the annual best garden competition and provides support to local schools with their horticultural endeavours.

In 2024, Inverurie Environmental Improvement Group were awarded the Beautiful Scotland Garden for Life Biodiversity Award - for Ury Riverside Park.
