Coaltown of Wemyss Floral Group

Coaltown of Wemyss Floral Group has a long and proud history of award-winning summer floral displays in their conservation village. When the current committee formed after the pandemic, the time was right to shift their gardening practice to include environmental responsibility. They joined 'It's Your Neighbourhood' in 2021 because its pillars were a great guide for their work. With over 20 volunteers looking after planters and small pieces of ground near where they live, the group has good community participation, their plant choices are increasingly influenced by environmental responsibility, creating healthy, colourful displays in the main streets.
