Garthdee Field Allotments Association

The Garthdee Field Allotments Association was constituted in 2010 and comprises of a Management Committee supported by 117 allotment holders and a group of 18 ACE volunteers from the local community - working in partnership with Aberdeen City Council who own and lease the allotments.

Their aims include:

• Sharing gardening expertise and good practice
• Encouraging green and sustainable gardening methods
• Increasing awareness of biodiversity
• Widening participation in projects and social events
• Spreading the benefits of plot working and being outdoors into the wider community
• Volunteers support via local Active Community Engagement (ACE)
