Bearsden in Bloom

Bearsden in Bloom started in spring 2021 with a well-supported public litter pick and progressed to include gardening activities. They meet twice a month for sessions of up to 2 hours, organised to accommodate both working and retired residents. Extra gardening sessions are required in spring and autumn for planting and clear-up. They enjoy contributing to the amenity of the area by clearing litter and by brightening their few green spaces with attractive planting. In the process, they work in the fresh air, meet like-minded people, make lasting friendships and enjoy their neighbourhood.
