French Connection donates bag charge to keep Scotland beautiful

Contemporary clothing, accessory and homeware brand French Connection has announced that proceeds from carrier bag sales in Scottish stores will be donated to environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Till point stickers highlighting the partnership have been on display at three Scottish stores since November 2025 letting customers know where their bag charge is going and that it will provide bags of good opportunity for our environment – and the first donation of £515 has been made.

When the Scottish Government introduced the single-use bag charge more than a decade ago it indicated that proceeds should be distributed to good causes, particularly those focused on tackling litter and its environmental impacts.

We have worked with many retailers to ensure their customers bag charge is put to good use supporting our key activities to inspire action for our environment.   Generous bag charge donations have supported community growing initiatives, supported educators, children and young people learn more about environmental action and have helped us to inspire changes in behaviour to improve the places we care about.
