Over 200 VisitScotland staff now Carbon Literate
30 September 2025
We recently completed an in-person Carbon Literacy Training session with VisitScotland, the latest session in our three-year partnership which has seen more than 215 staff join the journey to understanding the climate emergency and the positive actions we can take.
Our training helps businesses, educators and young people, organisations and individuals across Scotland to understand the climate, nature and litter emergencies and respond to the risks, responsibilities and opportunities ahead.
Hundreds of organisations have completed our training over the past three decades, with our training suitable for big businesses like VisitScotland and Scottish Power as well as small sole traders, local authorities across the country and community groups, educators, young people and individuals.
Katie Murray, our Development Manager, Environment and Place Services, said: "It's amazing to see that more than 200 members of VisitScotland's staff have completed our Carbon Literacy training over the past three years.
"It was fantastic to see staff from such varied departments take part and we're pleased to hear how they're planning to take what they've learned and apply it to their specific teams and roles.
"This partnership has been a huge success and we're looking forward to working more with VisitScotland to help them play their part in Scotland's net zero journey."
