The Patons of Dunfermline SCIO / Wooers' Alley Team

The group is restoring the woodland garden of Wooers' Alley in Dunfermline, which inspired the extraordinary fairy paintings of Oberon & Titania by Sir Joseph Noël Paton (now in the National Gallery of Scotland). Wooers’ Alley had become abandoned, completely overgrown and littered over the last 100 years. Since 2023, volunteers have been transforming it back to its former glory as a public garden, so it can once again inspire the community of Dunfermline, just as it inspired Noël Paton.
