Summerhil Community Centre

Summerhill Environmental Project includes the centre’s very unique community developed Land Art created by their youth groups and volunteers, local skilled people and neighbours with a Rainforest Awareness theme. The Land Art has evolved over time, and new ideas come through new committee members to ensure there is a true 'By the Community - For the Community' approach. Think Global, Act Local is carved through our sand stone along with carved butterflies symbolising land transformation and the need for freedom. The ongoing maintenance and also new developments at the Land Art is testimony of community empowerment amongst all ages.
