Raasay Walled Garden

The historic Walled Garden behind Raasay House on the Isle of Raasay (near the Isle of Skye) has been under community ownership since 2007. Neglected for many years, following a lot of work by volunteers and a part time gardener, it has been back in production since 2017, providing seasonal produce and flowers for locals and visitors.

The garden has an orchard area, picnic tables and is a beautiful place to spend time. The group continues to look for ways to develop the garden and ensure a sustainable future for this fantastic community asset.

In 2023, Raasay Walled Garden received a Certificate of Recognition in the NatureScot It's Your Neighbourhood Pollinator Friendly Award.
