Newhaven Heritage Gardens Group

Newhaven Heritage exists to protect, preserve and promote Newhaven’s rich heritage and history by nurturing the roots of belonging as well as the enhancement of its environment. An ancient village, it experienced wholesale redevelopment in the 60s and 70s leaving only a few green spaces in the process. Due to Council cutbacks, it is now left to volunteers and residents to make the area more attractive. In addition to flowers and perennials, fruit and vegetables are planted. The produce grown is offered to those in need in the village.
