HMP Dumfries

There is a prison garden at HMP Dumfries where some of those in the prison’s care work to grow plants and various vegetables to use in the catering department. They also have a well-being garden where people can come and use on a daily basis. They also encourage local community groups to visit the gardens and enjoy the facilities. They currently have two care homes who bring in dementia sufferers a couple of times a month for a cuppa and to do some gardening activities.
