Greenhead Moss Community Group

The Greenhead Moss volunteer group meet on a weekly basis and have done for over a decade. They care for and maintain Greenhead Moss Local Nature Reserve under the stewardship of North Lanarkshire Council Ranger Service. The practical tasks include path maintenance and resurfacing, litter picking and cutting back vegetation to open sight lines. The conservation group also undertake projects to improve biodiversity such as planting and maintaining wildflower meadows, bog management, planting trees, installing bird and bat boxes, and restoring grass from scrub land.
