Friends of the Barnhill Rock Garden

The group’s membership numbers remain good, but they are not complacent! They have regular weekly attendance of around 15 for hands-on garden activities by their multi skilled volunteers, and good attendance by the wider membership at outings and winter talks. The group continue to try to generate interest in the environment, especially with children from the local schools. This year they have focused on the improvement of several beds e.g. the snowdrop wood, scree bed, heather bed and another bed which was renovated many years ago. They continue to propagate plants for use in the garden and for selling to supplement funds.
