Friends of Hailes Quarry Park

The group helps to develop the park for the community and for nature. They made a community herb garden - which is free for the whole community to use - and last year, they also worked with the Edinburgh Tool Library to build a shelter where people can come to enjoy the park in wetter weather or take shelter from the sun. This year, they have also made a garden of flowering shrubs around the shelter (lilac, rose, ceanothus, and hebes, as well as some edible plants like blackcurrant). They hosted a community gala and a lantern evening last year.
