Craigentinny Community Gardening Association

A volunteer-led community garden based in an area of multiple deprivation, providing a welcoming green space where local people can connect, grow food, and enjoy nature. They run regular gardening sessions, community events, and activities with local partners including the Scouts and a respite unit for children with disabilities. Their aim is to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and promote healthy, sustainable living. They’re developing workshops such as cooking with home-grown produce to help people gain confidence and skills. Their work is inclusive, creative, and rooted in the needs and strengths of the local community.
