Coaltown of Wemyss Floral Group

Coaltown of Wemyss Floral Group of 20 volunteers raises funds, organises floral displays around the main streets in the village and tends them throughout the summer season. Volunteers mostly plant up and look after containers near their homes. They can be reimbursed out of pocket expenses for plant purchases, but some volunteers like to sow plants from seed or to cover the cost themselves. The committee organises a bulk delivery of peat free compost and distributes it to the volunteers. This year the group adopted a constitution to become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation - a SCIO.
