Carluke Community High Mill and Garden

The growing and learning garden encourages volunteers of all ages and abilities to use the outdoor space to improve physical and mental well being. The group have created polytunnels, growing areas, raised beds and orchards to grow fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs.

They are creating Blether Corners surrounded by Dead Hedges to create community spaces for social interaction. Wildlife, bees and pollinators, and birdlife are encouraged by creating biodiversity and planting for seasonal change. They have also provided homes for wildlife and a small garden pond, and try to recycle and reuse as much as they can on the site.
