Bothwell Community Garden

Bothwell Community Garden has been open for 15 years thanks to Climate Challenge Funding. It is run by members of the Organic Growers of Bothwell and volunteers.  On site are 62 raised beds, 2 polytunnels, an orchard and soft fruit growing area. There is an open fronted potting shelter which houses 16 solar panels on the roof. Rainwater is harvested for watering vegetables, fruit and herbs which are grown using organic methods. Hot composting is used to recycle green waste into a useful mulch. The garden is home to Bothwell Beekeepers.
