A constituted group of dedicated volunteers who work in partnership with Dundee City Council, the Dundee Network of Community Gardens, and Dundee Science Centre. Most of their work involves planters in Dundee City Centre, and this year they are redesigning them all to contain mainly sustainable, resilient perennials while maintaining a vibrant summer display interspersed with seed grown annuals. They practice climate friendly gardening and inform the public via notices and events, hold litter picks and are part of Dundee Seed Savers encouraging the public to save and share seeds.
In 2024, the group won 3rd place in our NatureScot It's Your Neighbourhood Pollinator Friendly Award.
In 2022 the group picked up two discretionary awards: the NatureScot It's Your Neighbourhood Pollinator Friendly Award - 3rd place - receiving £100 towards pollinator friendly activities; and the Keep Scotland Beautiful Beautiful Scotland & It's Your Neighbourhood discretionary award - Gardening in a Changing Climate Award (Bonnie Dundee and Bonnie Dundee IYN groups).
