Aberdour Heritage Centre and Station Gardens
Aberdour Heritage Centre and Station Gardens is a voluntary group of village residents who maintain the extensive gardens at Aberdour station. The gardens were neglected for many years but are now being developed for the benefit of residents and visitors. Six very large terraces have been cleared of old vegetation and replanted to give year-round colour and increased biodiversity. In summer, the station's floral displays include 20 barrel planters and 20 hanging baskets. Volunteers water, weed and feed the floral displays and maintain the terraces, occasionally supported by local school children, community groups and corporate community support groups.
