Gate 55 Community Food Growers

The group grow fruit and veg in the grounds of Gate 55 Community Centre, in Sighthill (Edinburgh), using organic, no-dig methods. They make the produce available for free for all members of the local community to benefit from. They started in 2025. They have one weekly morning gardening session year-round and an extra one on a Thursday evening in summer (beginning April-end October). They carry out a range of activities such as weeding, sowing seed, helping with the seed library, and harvesting produce, as well as the more physical work such as moving compost.
