Karen Kerr
Charity Trustee
Karen joined us as a Trustee in 2025 and brings experience from the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry. Across her career she has developed expertise in transformation, strategic development and governance. She currently works in the Food Sector, supporting a range of supply chain projects that deliver measurable improvements in efficiency and sustainability performance. Karen’s roles require her to work closely with senior management teams and Exec-level stakeholders.

Previously Karen worked with the Deposit Return Scheme and is excited by the potential the scheme has to protect Scotland’s environment.

Karen has an MA from the University of Aberdeen in English with Management Studies. She is committed to ongoing development, holding project management qualifications (PRINCE2, AgilePM, Managing Successful Programmes) that support her strategic governance role.

Karen is particularly passionate about SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) because her career has demonstrated how business transformation and supply chain innovation can drive meaningful environmental sustainability. Her work with the Deposit Return Scheme exemplifies this belief in action - showing how smart systems can turn consumption patterns into positive environmental outcomes for Scotland.

Karen enjoys coastal and forest walks with her family - or alone with a podcast when the opportunity allows.
