Jane Cumming

Jane Cumming is a highly experienced communications professional. Originally a journalist, she has worked in public relations for more than 40 years with experience in the private, public and third sectors. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, she was Chair in Scotland and Chair of their Professional Standards Panel for some years. Following more than a decade in the public sector, Jane established a PR consultancy in the Highlands, where she lives and works, and built into one of the largest independent PR firms in Scotland before selling it some years ago to Muckle Media. She now helps run her family’s tourism business which offers food and drink experiences which combine storytelling with locally sourced food and drink. She continues to work in the PR Sector part-time in the renewables and whisky sectors. Her previous Board and Charity Trustee experience includes Eden Court Theatre in Inverness, the Linda Norgrove Foundation, Trees for Life and the Scottish Council for Development and Industry.
