Neil Urquhart

Neil is a company director in the luxury brand manufacturing sector, and is currently Chair of two Speyside based companies, Gordon & MacPhail and Johnstons of Elgin. Becoming a Trustee in July 2021, he brings over 20 years’ experience in the Scotch Whisky sector. His career has included roles in Export, Retail, Logistics, Compliance and HR. As part of these roles, he’s lead environmental and sustainability improvement projects covering recycling, renewables, energy efficiency, carbon reduction and cross sector collaborative working. He was delighted to support the Johnstons of Elgin team to achieve B Corp accreditation in 2023. He hopes to be able to use this experience to support Keep Scotland Beautiful to develop and grow the reach and positive impact it has. Mountain biking, skiing and generally being outdoors with his family and dogs, enjoying Scotland’s natural environment, are all close to Neil’s heart.
