Beechbrae Community Gardens,  run by Beechbrae Scotland Ltd

Project Dates: 6 April 2015 - 31 March 2016

Beechbrae Community Gardens was run a project run by Beechbrae Scotland Ltd and worked to cut carbon emissions through increased production and consumption of local produce, reduced food waste and increased composting levels. Community days and workshops  encouraged the community to grow and cook local produce with the project also building relationships to increase stock of local produce in Blackridge, West Lothian. Further workshops focused on cooking with local produce and how to avoid food waste.

The West Lothian Financial Inclusion Network's Energy Advice Project

Grant awarded: £34,369

Project Dates: 1 April 2015 - 31 March 2016

The West Lothian Financial Inclusion Network's Energy Advice Project  supported vulnerable groups and those in fuel poverty to reduce bills, energy usage and carbon emissions. Project activities included home energy advice visits, seminars and roadshows in locations including Livingston, Bathgate and Armadale.
