Running and developing projects can be challenging at times, whilst it is also really rewarding. I know what it feels like to be at all stages of a CCF project. From those initial days when you're developing ideas and completing funding applications, to getting your bank accounts and building an organisation, recruiting and managing staff, marketing and delivering projects through to monitoring and evaluation.

I have 18 experience at a development, management, senior management and Board level and have working in the private, public, charity and social enterprise sectors. Consultancy and coaching has become a bigger part of my work over the past few years, plus I manage a team of great people to support all the work we do at LEAP in Energy, Transport, Education and Community Learning. Examples include energy efficiency, LEAP Car Clubs, active travel, youth and community development.  I have over 10 years experience in grant funding and management and have helped to net over £1.5 million locally.

I am here to help you develop new ideas, focus on effective project delivery and learn from other projects' successes and mistakes. At the outset of consultancy we will work with you to establish what best suits your project and what the most effective use of our time is to help you run a successful CCF initiative while building a legacy.

Once projects, systems and processes are established we respond to change, supporting the staff team and voluntary Board to deliver, providing feedback to help improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Supporting and developing ideas into reality in our climate change community is one of the things I really love about what I do.

We at LEAP have 7 years’ track record supporting communities to become more sustainable and empowered to tackle climate change and we welcome sharing our experience with others – our successes and mistakes!

I help develop the strategic direction of the LEAP charity as well as managing the energy team to deliver household structural and behavioural changes for energy reduction and improved home comfort including practical assistance for those in fuel poverty, and all the tasks that support that such as events, report writing, carbon analysis, funding bids, etc. I have experience from the start-up of a project to managerial level, stakeholder development, and hands-on frontline running the project in the community.

I have 20 years’ experience in strategic business development, environmental and behavioural change empowerment, architectural and engineering technical proficiency, ideas development, systems thinking, mentoring, presenting, writing reports and funding bids, analysing carbon benefits and collaboration with others. I hold an MSc Architecture (Distinction): Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies (AEES), BEng (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering, Environmental Performance Certificate (EPC) Assessor, City and Guilds Energy Awareness, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Through talking through what support you need I can help you build confidence in your ideas and help develop practical actions which work for you and your community to empower tackling climate change, fuel poverty (if appropriate), and making quantifiable carbon reductions.
