CCF Gathering

The annual Climate Challenge Fund Gathering showcases and celebrates the significant efforts of Scotland’s communities in contributing towards Scotland’s efforts to build a lower carbon future.

The CCF Gathering 2017 showcased and celebrated a number of CCF initiatives and collaborations, that aim to help tackle climate change by capitalising upon the skills and experience of members of the CCF community.

Introduction and keynote address - Elizabeth Leighton, CCF Gathering Chair, provided an introduction to the conference and the inspiring keynote address by Roseanna Cunningham, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform.

Climate Snapshots - Six CCF Projects have six minutes and six Powerpoint Slides to tell us about their projects.

Afternoon Plenary - Dave Coleman is Managing Director of The Carbon Literacy Project. His afternoon plenary address included more about The Carbon Literacy Project and ways in which people in a variety of countries have used the training to make links between their own lives and take practical action on climate change.

Feedback and closing remarks - Conference Chair, Elizabeth Leighton offered delegates another chance to contribute their views, after which she provided a final summing up and closing remarks for the event.
