We are pleased to share the provisional programme for the Climate Challenge Fund Gathering.

Gathering Programme

8.30 Registration, Networking and Exhibition (Foyer)

  • Network with exhibitors from the CCF community and watch CCF films in the mini-cinema.

9.15 Welcome and Opening Remarks (Auditorium) WEBCAST

9.30 Keynote Address (Auditorium) WEBCAST 

  • Minister for Rural Affairs and the Natural Environment, Mairi Gougeon

9.45 Celebrating Success (Auditorium) WEBCAST

  • Bike for Good were the recipient of the 1,000th CCF Grant for their VeloCommunities project. This session will introduce how Creative Carbon Scotland are working with Bike for Good to document the VeloCommunities project and contribute to its activities that aim to widen access to cycling and help Glasgow to become a more sustainable city.

10.15 A Decade of CCF Film Trailer and Panel Discussion (Auditorium) WEBCAST

  • Watch a trailer of a short film showing the thoughts of some CCF Community representatives on the past decade of the CCF. A panel discussion will bring together members of the CCF Community to discuss their highlights of the CCF, challenges and hopes for the future.

11.15 Morning Break, Networking and Exhibition (Foyer)

  • Network with exhibitors from the CCF community and watch new CCF films in the mini-cinema.

11.35 Workshop Session 1 (Various rooms)

Choose from one five workshops planned:

  • An introduction to the Carbon Literacy Manual (Keep Scotland Beautiful). WEBCAST
  • Monitoring and reporting on carbon emissions using the CCF carbon estimator and Reporter (Keep Scotland Beautiful and Carbon Forecast). WEBCAST
  • Scottish Government Workshop (delivered by the Scottish Government’s Decarbonisation Division).
  • Speed Networking Session (Keep Scotland Beautiful).
  • Young Leaders Development Programme (2050 Climate Group).

12.35 Lunch (Foyer)

  • Focusing on vegetarian, Scottish and low carbon produce.

13.40 Workshop Session 2 (Various rooms)

14.40 Afternoon Break, Networking and Exhibition (Foyer)

15.00 Climate Snapshots – youth engagement (Auditorium) WEBCAST

  • Community-led organisations provide a snapshot presentation of their CCF project to demonstrate a variety of focuses on youth engagement. A Panel Discussion will follow.

16.00 Interactive Feedback (Auditorium) WEBCAST

  • A chance for Gathering delegates to let us know their thoughts from the day.

16.15 Closing Remarks (Auditorium) WEBCAST

WEBCAST - The Gathering sessions indicated with 'WEBCAST' will be webcast live to help cut the need to travel to the event. Those watching the livestream will have the ability to ask questions online in real time. The webcast sessions will also be available to review after the event.
