We are delighted to share the details of the shortlisted nominees.

Energy Category - This category is for projects involving the energy efficient refurbishment of community-owned buildings and energy efficiency advice. Eligible projects needed to have run in the period 1 April 2017 - 31 March 2018. The shortlisted nominees are:

  • Aberdeen Green Futures Project, Aberdeen Multicultural Centre - Self nomination and third party nomination by Home Energy Scotland
  • East Sutherland Energy Advice Service, The Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust - self nomination
  • Forth Valley Communities for Conservation, Central Scotland Regional Equality Council - Self nomination

Travel Category - This category is for projects involving lower carbon travel. Eligible projects needed to have run in the period 1 April 2017 - 31 March 2018. The shortlisted nominees are:

  • Aberdeen Green Future Project, Aberdeen Multicultural Centre, Aberdeen - Self nomination and nominated by Home Energy Scotland
  • Forth Valley Communities for Conservation, Central Scotland Regional Equality Council, Falkirk - Self nomination
  • Healthy Living and Sustaining East-Renfrewshire, Woodfarm Education Centre, East Renfrewshire - Self nomination

Food Category - This category is for projects involving the production and consumption of lower carbon food. Eligible projects needed to have run in the period 1 April 2017 - 31 March 2018. The shortlisted nominees are:

  • Greener Broadford, Broadford & Strath Community Company, Highland - Self nomination
  • Possibility Grows and Cycles Here, St Paul’s Youth Forum, Glasgow City - Self nomination
  • SCOREscotland Green Futures Project, SCOREscotland, City of Edinburgh - Self nomination

Waste Category - This category is for projects involving reducing, reusing and recycling waste. Eligible projects needed to have run in the period 1 April 2017 - 31 March 2018. The shortlisted nominees are:

  • Energy Savers – Train to Gain, Lairg & District Learning Centre, Highland - Self nomination
  • Fit for purpose, The Ecology Centre, Fife - Self nomination
  • R:evolve Recycle project, LEAP (Lightburn Elderly Association Project), South Lanarkshire - Self nomination and third party nomination by Zero Waste

Youth Engagement Category - This category is for projects involving young people 26 and under. Eligible projects needed to have run in the period 1 April 2017 - 31 March 2018. The shortlisted nominees are:

  • Embedding North Glasgow's Green Legacy, Ng Homes, Glasgow City - Self nomination
  • Greener Broadford, Broadford & Strath Community Company, Highland - Self nomination
  • Possibility Grows and Cycles Here, St Paul’s Youth Forum, Glasgow City - Self nomination

Outstanding Contribution - This category is for projects that have made an outstanding contribution to community action on climate change over the last decade of CCF, with projects that ran at any point until 31 March 2018 eligible for the category. The shortlisted nominees are:

  • Greener Kirkcaldy, Fife - Self nomination
  • Local Energy Action Plan (LEAP), Renfrewshire - Self nomination and third party nominations from Engage Renfrewshire, Ng Homes, City of Edinburgh Council, Linstone Housing & Music Broth
  • South Seeds, Glasgow City - Self nomination
  • Transition Stirling, Stirling - Self nomination
