Celebrate the achievements of your Climate Challenge Fund Project by entering the CCF Awards.

Award Categories

We are delighted to have two new CCF Award Categories for Youth Engagement and Outstanding Contribution which join the established Energy, Food, Transport and Waste categories.

CCF projects that ran 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 are eligible for categories:

  • Energy - projects involving energy efficient refurbishment of community-owned buildings and energy efficiency advice
  • Travel - projects involving lower carbon travel
  • Food - projects involving the production and consumption of lower carbon food
  • Waste - projects involving reducing, reusing and recycling waste
  • Youth Engagement - projects led-by or involving young people 26 and under

CCF projects that ran until 31 March 2018 are eligible for the category:

  • Outstanding Contribution - projects that have made an outstanding contribution to community action on climate change over the last decade of CCF

Submit a nomination

We are pleased to accept nominations from eligible CCF projects or through third-party organisations. Nominees can detail the category or categories they wish to enter on the appropriate CCF Awards Nomination Form. 

All those submitting a nomination should explain how the CCF project being nominated has met the four criteria of Community, Carbon reduction, Sustainable Legacy and Climate Literacy. Full criteria is detailed in the CCF Awards Nomination Forms that are available to download:

Some key dates

Nominations close at 3pm on 29 October 2018.

The CCF Awards Panel are scheduled to meet on 6 November 2018 following a shortlisting process by Keep Scotland Beautiful. The Awards Panel will comprise members of the CCF Grant Recipient Working Group, CCF Stakeholder Working Group and CCF Grant Panel.

Keep Scotland Beautiful will announce the three announce shortlisted nominees in each category on 12 November 2018.

The winners of each category will be announced at the CCF Awards on 12 December 2018.
