Schools take action
Our Roadside Litter Campaign aims to prevent litter from being dropped on roadsides, where it is difficult, dangerous and costly to clean up.
This May, join us for a national Week of Action to raise awareness of the issue and spread the campaign message: Give your litter a lift, take it home
By joining the Week of Action, schools can get involved and support this drive in a number of ways:
Give your litter a voice competition
Use our curriculum-linked classroom resource (P1-3, 4-7) to engage the class with the issue and allow them to give litter a voice with our Caption Competition.
Submissions will be entered into a competition with a chance to win prizes for the whole class!
Entries will be accepted from Monday, 12 March - Friday, 4th May with the competition running during the Week of Action (12-20 May).
Add your voice
By joining the campaign you will help us in build a critical mass of voices saying that littering - especially on roadsides - is not acceptable in Scotland.
Spread the word
- Order campaign materials to put up around your school and help spread the campaign message
- Use our communications pack (including web, social media, posters and press releases) to talk about the issue during the Week of Action
Organise a Clean Up
Join our Spring Clean and target transport litter by cleaning up a nearby car park or other safe roadside location.
