The Drying Green

The Drying Green community garden and greenspace was created from derelict land next to a library through the Dandelion project in collaboration with community arts organisation RIG Arts and supported by Inverclyde Libraries. RIG Arts received funding from Scottish Government Investing in Communities Fund to employ a Greening Officer one day a week to maintain the garden, organise community gardening days and promote horticultural, creative and wellbeing workshops. The garden focuses on education, showcasing different methods of composting, dig versus no dig beds, wildflowers, linseed (for linen) etc.
