Level 4 - Thriving

The aims are to increase the biodiversity of the graveyard and enhance the area for all visitors. The group reviews their grass maintenance plan with Aberdeen City Council biannually and has some areas of the graveyard cut regularly and some areas only cut once a year, reducing herbicide use and planting native flowers for pollinators.

In 2024 the group are hoping to add colour and nectar with planting up some lairs with herbs and bulbs and to add more wildflower planting to the longer grass areas. Also to purchase bird box kits for local school children to assemble in the grounds and carry on biodiversity workshops.
