Hayfield Growing

Hayfield Growing is the work of the Hayfield Community Centre Management to establish and maintain a Community Garden around the building, open to all. The Centre and the Community Garden are run by volunteers from the community, with their Community Gardener ready to help novice gardeners grow their own veg in the raised beds, or youngsters from the Parent & Toddler Group plant potatoes! Others use the space to play in or sit for a while in the pleasant surroundings. Some garden produce is used in the weekly Community Café, and in turn, kitchen waste is composted.
