Grow Uddingston

In 2024, Grow Uddingston was awarded the Beautiful Scotland Jim Murdie Trophy for Sustainability - for their tree planting project.

The volunteers at Grow Uddingston work to maintain and improve the local environment for residents, visitors and businesses. Their work involves organising floral displays along the Main Street, maintaining the local railway station under the Adopt a Station Programme, and creating and maintaining the structure and flowerbeds at the Uddingston Gateway. They also organise regular litter picks, graffiti removal, tree planting, and raise funds in various ways including through their Christmas Fayre and Spring Plant Sale.
