Gairloch Sitooterie - Wildlife Viewing Garden

A strip of wasteland over 200 metres long bordering Loch Gairloch, and totally overgrown by invasive gorse 2 metres high, was tackled by the local community a few years ago. It has been transformed into a delightful garden and seating area, with panoramic views of outstanding scenery across the loch. There are constant sightings of wildlife from the Sitooterie and these have included dolphins, seals, otters, pine martens, and sea eagles.
