Friends of the Barnhill Rock Garden

The Friends of the Barnhill Rock Garden membership and gardening teams continue to thrive. They have good weekly attendance at the garden by their multi skilled volunteers, as well as attendance by the wider membership at other activities eg outings, winter talks. The group continue to try to aid conservation and generate interest in the environment, especially with children’s groups. On top of coping with storm/weather damage, the Friends have focused this year on the improvement/renovation/replanting of several beds in the garden. Areas include part of the scree bed, the heather bed and a further bed at the top the the garden. They continue to propagate plants for use in the garden and for selling to supplement funds.
