Friends of Starbank Park is a community gardening group in North Edinburgh. An active group of volunteers looking after a small public park that features a Children's Nature Trail and beautiful herbaceous borders. Events such as the famous Japanese Tea party 'Hanami' to gardening workshops are run throughout the year. Duke of Edinburgh volunteers get involved with every aspect from horticulture to face painting! Starbank Park is a huge asset to the community and a hub for all. They have two superbly well stocked Little Free libraries. They recycle as many unwanted items from their local community and repurpose or pop them on their table for a donation. The group host 3 volunteer groups on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 10.00 to 11:30 and Sunday 10:30 to 11:30 for Duke of Edinburgh volunteers.

In 2021, Friends of Starbank Park won 2nd prize in the NatureScot Pollinator Friendly Award.
