Friends of Granton Castle Walled Garden

The aim of the Friends of Granton Castle Walled Garden is to preserve and develop the historic Walled Garden. The group promotes the garden as a valuable community space and encourages volunteering.

Using organic methods, the group grow fruit and vegetables, which are available for members of the local community, volunteers and visitors.

They grow flowers attractive to pollinators and work towards increasing biodiversity. The group have an apiary and an area for organic and sustainable flower farming, where they have recently welcomed a mushroom growing initiative.

The garden is a wonderful place for work, education and recreation, and workshops and events are regularly held here.
